Wine-d down the workweek

Thursday, join Chez Pascal for a special Chateau Angelus Wine Dinner featuring five wines, all red and all Bordeaux. Wines will be paired with a five-course menu featuring cocoa nib and cornmeal-crusted crispy squid with grilled polenta and sauce vine rouge, wild mushroom ragout with leek pancake and cloumage cheese, plus quail, duck breast and more. Dessert will be pear custard gratin with blue cheese, sea salt and caramel. Special guest Jean Bernard Grenie of Chateau Angelus will be present during the dinner, which is presented in conjunction with Town Wines and Spirits. When: Thursday, Jan. 31, 6:30 p.m. Where: Chez Pascal, 960 Hope St., Providence Additional Information: Cost: $145 per person, includes five-course dinner with wine pairings, tax and gratuity.
