Walk it off

By stephanie - June 15, 2015
Burn some of those calories consumed Thursday with a two-hour walk Saturday in Glocester. Those interested will join the Glocester Land Trust at Steere Hill and hike two newly created trails in the Phillips Farm section. Walkers will cross Cutler Brook, pass by abandoned farm equipment and visit a 18th-century field-stone cemetery. Temperatures may be chilly and trails will likely be muddy, so walkers are advised to dress accordingly. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join. When: Saturday, Nov. 24, noon Where: Steere Hill Farm Conservation Area, Route 44/Putnam Pike, Glocester Additional Information: This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Roy at [email protected] or (401) 647-3631, or visit the website. Website: www.glocesterlandtrust.org
