Raptor rapture

Celebrate the hunters of the avian world by taking part in Raptor Weekend at the Audubon Environmental Education Center. Raptors are birds characterized by long talons, hooked beaks and highly developed eyesight and hearing. During the weekend, those interested can join raptor experts from around the Northeast for a series of flight demonstrations, presentations and family-friendly activities on hawks, eagles, owls and falcons. Featured presentations include “Eyes on Owls,” “Talons! A Bird of Prey Experience” and “Horizon Wings.” Raptor Weekend is the largest raptor event in New England. When: Saturday, September 8 through Sunday, September 9, 2012 Where: Audubon Environmental Education Center, 1401 Hope St., Bristol Additional Information: Admission: $8 adult members, $4 children members, $10 adult nonmembers, $5 children nonmembers.
