The owners, a duo with experience and filled with positive energy, draw on a long family tradition of restaurateurs out of the Boston area. They bring a culinary experience to Providence that is unlike any other in the city. With much research done by way of trips to Japan, the two owners pride themselves in delivering an authentic ramen noodle restaurant to Washington St. The menu includes chicken broth simmered for over 30 hours with delicate noodles, choices of soy braised chicken or pork belly, soy sauce injected soft boiled eggs, braised bamboo shoots, pork buns, spicy tuna rice bowls, and a hand picked selection of Japanese sakes, beers and whiskeys to name a few. Joining the ranks of Ellie’s Bakery and Figidini Wood Fire Eatery in the Biltmore Garage, Ken’s promises to bring another layer of epicurean adventure to the already popular dining destination. The Biltmore Garage is Cornish Associates’ most recently completed development, and is home to five new retail locations on the ground level of the parking garage behind the Biltmore Hotel on Washington St. A few doors down from Ken’s Ramen, also in the Biltmore Garage, is the new retail shop - Downcity Outfitters. The store is scheduled to open April 2014 at 65 Washington St. The concept for the urban minded active wear shop stemmed from a sister store under the same ownership out of Atlanta, Georgia. The shop plans to offer a wide selection of brands new to the Rhode Island market, ranging from active wear, urban sporting equipment, and gear for bicycle enthusiasts and urban athletes."
