The Museum of Natural History in Providence invites community members to celebrate 116 years of history during its annual Community Day. With museum admission, visitors will have the chance to take a special tour of the museum’s archives, experience the planetarium’s new equipment and browse books at a used book sale. The museum will showcase its new full-dome planetarium projection system with a virtual tour of the Milky Way galaxy, solar system and more, and offer visitors a historic look at the past with its collection of vintage photographs of Roger Williams Park. When: Saturday, Nov. 10, noon to 3:30 p.m. Where: Museum of Natural History and Planetarium, Roger Williams Park, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Providence Additional Information: Admission: $3, includes access to museum, planetarium, book sale and archives tour. Children younger than 4 will not be admitted to planetarium show, children younger than 7 will not be admitted to archives tour.
